I went to the supermarket yesterday and saw something that really made me think.
I parked up next to an estate car which had the logo and contact details of a local cleaning company on the side. All well and good, you might think, taking an opportunity for some highly visible marketing.
Unfortunately all the intended good work was undone by one simple thing – the car itself was filthy, caked in mud and grime.
It immediately begged the question that if they can’t keep their own car clean what state are they going to leave my house in if I employ them as cleaners.
I have said it before and I will keep repeating it until the proverbial cows come home. Everything you do is about marketing your business. It is not just the big things such as having a regularly updated website but also the little things like dressing smartly and answering the phone promptly and politely.
Everything you do says something about the professionalism of your business so make sure you get these simple things right to portray the best image you can.
In other words, get your car cleaned!
