Part 2:
Speed Up Your Website

Nobody likes a slow website, especially not Google. The faster your website loads, the better your SEO.

Your website may be slowing down due to several reasons, some of these being – high traffic; too many images and plugins; code not being up to date; poor performance of server; due to location; absence of caching, and so on.

Test Your Speed: Go to Google’s PageSpeed Insights, enter your website’s URL, and click “Analyze”.

Google will give you a score out of 100 for both mobile and desktop speed.

R
Improve Your Speed

If your score is low, Google will suggest ways to improve it. Make sure to check if any links are broekn/do not go to a suffice landing page.

R
TinyPNG

Simply upload your images, let TinyPNG compress them, and then replace the original images on your website with the compressed versions.

R
Caching

Caching is one of the most effective ways to speed up your web pages. Caching stores copies of your site’s files, minimising the work needed for the server to generate and serve a web page to a visitor’s browser.

Here are some of the benefits of a fast website!

Having a fast website matters to your business more than you probably realise.

Quality SEO content, great messaging and clear branding all combine to create great web designs. But without a fast website to display it all on, run by a quality web host, all that good work can be critically compromised.
