Web & Graphic Designer

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a talented and creative Web and Graphic Designer to join our small, friendly and professional team based in Brockworth, Gloucester.

This new role will blend web and graphic design skills and will require an individual with experience in both web development and graphic design, coupled with an exceptional eye for detail and a creative approach to tasks. 

You will be able to manage a busy and variable workload; building and maintaining websites, managing hosting environments and basic server maintenance, security updates, dealing with customer queries, and looking after company hardware and software configurations.  Knowledge of Google Webmaster tools and initial SEO of new website builds would be beneficial.

About You

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and creation of our customers websites, so a creative flair is paramount.  Practical experience of creating graphic for web (and possibly print) and be able to follow a clear style guide to keep all content and imagery on-brand is a necessary skill. You will need to be able work both independently and as part of our team.  Brainstorming new projects with the team to identify new and creative ideas will be a large part of this exciting role.

You’ll have a proven track record in designing and creating websites and will require key skills in the following disciplines:

• Adobe creative suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop (Premier Pro beneficial but not necessary)
• Joomla / WordPress / CMS
• HTML / Javascript / CSS / Web / Coding / PHP
• Photography & Videography (beneficial but not necessary)
• Social Media platforms
• Video editing beneficial

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate attention to detail as well as creative flair working within brand guidelines, you will have a high quality portfolio demonstrating your experience working as a Web/Graphic Designer.

You’ll be well organised and able to meet tight deadlines, having prior experience at taking projects from concept to delivery.

Be willing to take on new challenges and take great pride in your work.  You’ll have excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with customers.  You will be able to think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.  You will be able to present finalised ideas/concepts of creative, engaging and original ideas that connect with our customers’ specified target audiences. 

Staying up to date with industry trends is a given. You’ll be happy and open to receiving feedback and comfortable at expressing ideas and brainstorming with your colleagues and management.  Being passionate, motivated and extremely creative along with a can-do attitude sums it all up.
